Dongguan Zhonghai · Guanfu is situated within the southern section of Huangqishan’s luxury residential district, a traditional affluent area of Dongguan. The design originates from the site’s inherent qualities, adapting to local conditions and embracing diverse influences. It transcends the constraints of the site and architecture, infusing the landscape with dynamism to revitalize the entire garden.
The landscape design employs spatial form adjustments to create winding, dynamic pathways that enhance the site’s layered character. Simultaneously, it adopts an integrated approach to architectural and landscape spaces. While grounded in the functional requirements of the buildings, the design transcends their superstructure by leveraging the dynamism of the landscape to break through the existing architectural framework. This organic collision between the two elements achieves a highly integrated, holistic development of landscape and architecture across the site.
